Information Technology shares jump

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 149.65 points or 0.99% at 15277.47 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Ramco Systems Ltd (up 15.52%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 3.5%),Datamatics Global Services Ltd (up 2.79%),Zen Technologies Ltd (up 2.39%),Infosys Ltd (up 2.39%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 2.29%), Persistent Systems Ltd (up 2.18%), Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 2.01%), 3i Infotech Ltd (up 1.96%), and Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 1.92%).

On the other hand, CESC Ventures Ltd (down 1.72%), Tanla Solutions Ltd (down 1.52%), and Infibeam Avenues Ltd (down 1.32%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 208.09 or 0.52% at 40259.96.

The Nifty 50 index was up 66.15 points or 0.56% at 11910.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 102.33 points or 0.76% at 13533.78.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 34.7 points or 0.75% at 4654.57.

On BSE,1045 shares were trading in green, 420 were trading in red and 55 were unchanged.
