Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) bought 1.73 crore equity shares (or 2.039% stake) in Exide Industries.
Post transaction, LIC's stake in Exide Industries has increased to 5.519% from 3.480% held earlier. LIC purchased shares through open market between 8 June 2017 and 17 December 2020. The company issued the disclosure after market hours on Friday, 18 December 2020.
Shares of Exide Industries rose 0.34% to Rs 190.90. Exide Industries manufactures batteries for automobiles, industrial use and for submarines.
