Oil and Gas shares endure losses
Oil and Gas stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 57.24 points or 0.39% at 14621.62 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (up 2.5%), GAIL (India) Ltd (up 1.57%), Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.95%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.64%), Petronet LNG Ltd (up 0.6%), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.22%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 2.52%), Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (up 2.35%), and Castrol India Ltd (up 0.8%) moved up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 124.11 or 0.33% at 38004.51.
The Nifty 50 index was up 31.3 points or 0.28% at 11265.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 33.95 points or 0.27% at 12757.25.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 10.98 points or 0.25% at 4319.12.
On BSE,1010 shares were trading in green, 1279 were trading in red and 162 were unchanged.
