Oil and Gas stocks ease
Oil and Gas stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index decreasing 130.97 points or 1.13% at 11472.26 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, GAIL (India) Ltd (down 8.22%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 3.11%), Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 2.48%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 2.01%), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.76%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd (up 3.97%), Castrol India Ltd (up 2.32%), and Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 1.43%) turned up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 175.45 or 0.49% at 35810.4.
The Nifty 50 index was up 53.6 points or 0.51% at 10505.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 3.35 points or 0.03% at 12767.2.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 12.54 points or 0.28% at 4418.52.
On BSE,1134 shares were trading in green, 1176 were trading in red and 161 were unchanged.
