Oil and Gas stocks fall
Oil and Gas stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index decreasing 91.16 points or 0.59% at 15440.43 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 2.53%), GAIL (India) Ltd (down 2.05%),Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 2%),Petronet LNG Ltd (down 1.49%),Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.37%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Castrol India Ltd (down 0.62%), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.16%).
On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.76%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 0.59%), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (up 0.11%) turned up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 133.27 or 0.33% at 40603.05.
The Nifty 50 index was up 33 points or 0.28% at 11999.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 65.78 points or 0.49% at 13538.79.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 28 points or 0.6% at 4670.28.
On BSE,1239 shares were trading in green, 1097 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
