Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index records a surge of 2.20%

Nifty Realty index ended up 2.20% at 480.4 today. The index has added 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Oberoi Realty Ltd rose 3.89%, Godrej Properties Ltd added 3.55% and DLF Ltd gained 3.20%. The Nifty Realty index has increased 15.00% over last one year compared to the 3.26% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index increased 1.98% and Nifty IT index gained 1.42% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.58% to close at 17936.35 while the SENSEX increased 0.54% to close at 60115.13 today.
