It was a warm and muggy Monday morning in Delhi and rain is expected later in the day, the Met office said.
Minimum temperature early Monday was a notch above average at 27.7 degrees Celsius.
"The morning sky will be partly cloudy, becoming fully cloudy by the afternoon. Rain may occur in some areas," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Sunday was two notches above average at 35.8 degrees Celsius.
Maximum humidity at 8.30 a.m. Monday was recorded at 85 percent while minimum humidity remained 59 percent.
Since the onset of the monsoon in June, the city has recorded 460 mm of rain.
