One dead in suspected cylinder blast

One person was killed and two others were injured Thursday in an explosion at a home in a Goan village known for illegal stone mining, police said.

The incident took place in San Jose de Areal, 40 km south of Panaji.

Police did not say what caused the accident but informed sources said the blast appeared to be of non-terrorist nature.
