A theme park and a tourist spot will be developed near the Etawah lion safari, a government spokesman said on Friday.
This follows directives of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to the Tourism Department to take necessary steps for this project.
The park will be themed on acclaimed film director-producer K. Asif and his legendary Hindi film 'Mughal-e-Azam'.
The spokesman said the project aimed to increase tourist footfalls from across the world to this region and also to inform people about the great filmmaker who hailed from Etawah and his timeless classic film.
