1 cop killed, 4 security personnel injured in encounter with militants in J-K

Security forces launched a cordon and at Diyarwani in Batmaloo area of the city early morning following information about the presence of militants in the area, Central Kashmir Range (DIG) V K told reporters.

In the initial burst of fire, five jawans sustained and were evacuated to the hospital for medical attention. However, one of them succumbed to his injuries, the DIG said.
