A construction worker died after he was mowed down by a speeding vehicle in Jagannathpur village in the district and five persons have been arrested in this connection, police said today.
Ashok Kumar Yadav (35) was hit by the vehicle last night when he was returning home, police said. He died on the spot.
The vehicle driver fled with the car after the incident, police said, adding that they were nabbed after a chase.
The five occupants of the car were arrested, they said.
