15 injured as swarm of bees attack tourists

Fifteen persons were injured when a swarm of bees attacked them after one of them threw a stone at a honeycomb near the Mettur dam park here.

The incident happened last evening when some people from Erode, Salem and Chennai were visiting the park, police said.

People started running helter-skelter when the bees swarmed out from the comb and started attacking them.

The injured were treated at the government hospital.
