20-year-old woman gangraped in Faridabad

A 20-year-old woman was allegedly raped by three men, including her cousin, after she was forced to consume a cold-drink laced with sedatives by the accused here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the woman, a resident of Arya Nagar Ballabhgarh, was on her way to the market when she stopped by her cousin Bhupendra, they said.

Bhupendra asked her to have a cold-drink with him which she refused, police said, adding that later she had the cold-drink on his persistence, following which she fainted.

Bhupendra bundled her into a car and took her to a hotel where the other two accused, Moti and Dipu were present. Thereafter, the woman was raped by the trio at the hotel, they said.
 

A case of rape has been registered and a search is on to nab the absconding accused, police added.
