25 kg Manipuri opium seized

At least 25 kg Manipuri opium worth an estimated Rs 2.5 lakh was seized from the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express here in Kamrup district of Assam, an RPF official said today.

During routine checking, RPF personnel of Rangia Railway station last night recovered the opium kept in an abandoned trolley bag in compartment number B 5 under berth number 31, RPF Rangia Officer-in-Charge Ashok Das.

Stating no arrest has been made so far, Das said investigations are on.
