25-yr-old woman commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a canal after she had a heated argument with her husband and in-laws, police said.

The body of the woman was fished out from the Hindan-river-cut canal in between Vasundhara-Vaishai stretch by the Indirapuram police here.

The woman has been identified as Indu Shah, wife of Manish Shah, SHO Haridayal Singh Yadav said.

In the morning she had heated arguments with her husband and in-laws, following which she committed suicide by jumping in the Hindan-river canal.

Possibility of any sexual assault and robbery is ruled out and the body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
 

An FIR has been lodged and the matter is under investigation, Yadav said.
