Three narcotic smugglers were arrested and over 9 kgs of cannabis recovered from them in Reasi and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
During checking, a vehicle was intercepted at IRP Chowk in Reasi district today from which about 300 grams of cannabis were recovered, police said.
Two persons, identified as Makhan Lal and Mohammad Yousuf, were arrested and the vehicle seized, they said, adding a case has been registered against them and investigation had begun.
In another incident, police on a specific information, began a check at Shan Palace in Ramban and intercepted one Abdul Rashid yesterday, police said today.
During the search, 9.25 kgs of cannabis was recovered from him and Rashid was arrested, they said, adding a case has been registered against him and investigation was on.
