30 rural BPOs launched in Jharkhand IT Conclave

The Jharkhand IT Conclave today witnessed the launch of 30 Rural BPOs in the state along with the inauguration of one that will create more than 7,500 job opportunities.

Taking part in the Conclave here, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das also launched 10,000 verified Facebook pages of village level entrepreneurs (VLE).

The VLEs provide various online public utility and financial services to people.

Under the VLE, the chief minister distributed letters of job engagement to some candidates.

Das also launched basic computer course for 20,000 candidates.

Speaking on the occasion, he said information technology is an important component for good governance and the state government is on the path of digital revolution.
 

It would not only speed up work but also rein in corruption and middlemen, he added.

'Tele-health programme' has been introduced through 'Pragyan Centres' by which a family is entitled for eight consultations with doctors and free of cost medicine.

'Pragyan Centres' would help BPL families, Das said adding that the government would assist women to get jobs in 10-seater BPOs in every block.

The chief minister said Jharkhand is in the second position in Pradhan Mantri Grameen Digital Saksharta Abhiyan.
