A special Court here today granted police four day custody of suspended Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor, A Ganapathy, arrested on graft charges on February 3.
Both Ganapathy and a professor Dharmaraj, who allegedly brokered the deal, are presently lodged in Central jail here.
When the case came up for hearing today, special court jduge John Mino allowed DVAC four days custody of Ganapathy for questioning.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption had filed the petition before the court on February 8, seeking five days custody of Ganapathy for further interrogation.
Ganapathy was arrested on February 3 for allegedly accepting Rs 30 lakh as bribe from an aspirant for the post of an assistant professor.
