Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Japan, the Union Cabinet today considered a variety of MoUs, including the one on civil nuclear co-operation, to be signed between the two countries during his visit.

While the MoUs on skill development, technology park, textiles and agriculture and food, and marine technology were cleared, there was no official word on Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement which was on the agenda of the Union Cabinet.

Sources said an official announcement on all the MoUs will be made tomorrow on the eve of Modi's departure to Japan.

The Prime Minister will visit Japan on November 11-12 during which he will hold the annual summit meeting with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.

A civil nuclear deal is also on the agenda.
