Akbarpur MP Bhole adopts Kanpur's Tikwapur village

Akbarpur MP Devendra Singh Bhole today said he has decided to adopt Tikwapur village in the district under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'MP Model Village' scheme.

"I have decided to adopt Tikwapur village in Ghatampur of Kanpur Nagar district to develop it into a model village under the 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna'," the BJP MP said.

"The village has remained underdeveloped since the time of Britishers. It is also the birthplace of Hindi poet Kavi Bhushan," Bhole added.

The rural development scheme aims at improving the standard of living and quality of life of all sections of people by improving basic amenities.
