In an effort to uplift the standards of educational institutions in Ladakh and bring them at par with the national mainstream, the Army today send a group of 30 local teachers on a motivational tour to Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.

As part of a 'Sadbhavana' project, educational-cum- motivational tour of a team of 30 local teachers of the District Institute of Education and Training, Leh, was flagged off by Army's Fire and Fury Corps, a defence spokesperson said today.

The aim of this tour is to give an exposure to teachers about the various facets of education training and enable them to imbibe modern teaching trends, he said.

The team departed for New Delhi from Leh by flight and will be visiting various learning centres in New Delhi and Dharamshala, the spokesperson said.

The team will attend a three-day workshop organised by TCV School at Dharamshala, followed by an interaction with officials of NCERT in Delhi and a training capsule of nine days.

The entire duration of the tour is 20 days, he said, adding, the interaction with their peers at different locations will enrich the teachers with the latest trends in teaching.
