Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 70th death anniversary.
They paid tributes at Gandhi Ghat, a memorial of the Father of the Nation constructed along the banks of the Ganga, before observing two minutes silence.
State minister Nand Kishore Yadav and deputy leader of the ruling JD(U) in the Assembly, Shyam Rajak, were among those present on the occasion.
A function was also held on the occasion at Sadaqat Ashram, the state Congress headquarters.
