The vice-president of BJP's Jammu district today resigned from the party accusing the leadership of ignoring genuine cadres.

Sanjeev Gupta, in a statement here, said he had quit the BJP as the leadership was "ignoring genuine party cadres".

He also alleged the party was deviating from his original policies.

These factors prompted him to quit the organisation, Gupta said in the statement.
