BJP to launch awareness campaign about Mudra Bank

To ensure that the benefit of Mudra Bank Scheme reaches the people, the BJP will launch a special awareness campaign on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary on September 25 till Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.

During the campaign the party workers will spread awareness about the scheme by organising special camps so that maximum people benefit, BJP's National General Secretary Anil Jain told reporters here.

The Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Bank also known as Mudra bank was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 8.

He said any person who plans to set up or expand, his or her business was eligible under the scheme.
 

Jain said loan facility to small businessmen and shopkeepers would be given in three phases under the scheme.

He said within 15 months Narendra Modi-led government has taken a number of important steps for development and good governance of the country.

The senior BJP leader said schemes like insurance scheme, pension scheme and Jeevan Jyoti were proving beneficial for crores of people in the country.

Meanwhile, for widespread publicity of the scheme a meeting of office-bearers of Awadh, Bundelkhand and Kanpur region was held in which Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Jain, state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai and MPs and MLAs participated, party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.

A meeting was also held on upcoming panchayat polls in Uttar Pradesh on which national Vice-President and UP incharge Om Prakash Mathur said the party would contest elections with full might and added that discussions were held on the preparations for the polls.
