A faction of Bharti Kisan Union (BKU) today announced support to Congress in run up to the next year's Punjab Assembly polls.
A decision to this effect was taken by the BKU at its meeting of office bearers, party chief Bhupinder Singh Mann said.
He also described Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a "Chinese toy".

"People had lot of excitement for 6 months about AAP, but now it had withered out like a poor quality Chinese toy," Mann said.
The former MP thanked PCC chief Amarinder Singh for reaching out to farmers' body and putting across the agenda of Congress for the agriculture sector.
BKU rejected SAD-BJP alliance for allegedly pushing Punjab to the brink of social and economic slide.
"Be it drugs, unprecedented farm crisis, lawlessness, unemployment, the Akali government in Punjab has failed to deliver," Mann said.
It demanded a corruption free regime, having quality education in government schools, protection of honour of womenfolk, and trade.
