Case registered against site engineer

A case of negligence has been registered against an engineer, following the death of two persons at a construction site last night.

The driver, Chellamuthu and his assistant Dinesh have been when the concrete mix lorry fell in a 10-foot deep pit and turned turtle.

After toiling for nearly three hours, due to non-availability of suitable crane to lift the lorry, both the bodies were recovered, which were sent to the Government Hospital to carry out post mortem today, police said.

Police registered a case against the site engineer Karthik under section 304 (A) (causing death by negligence).So far no no arrest has been made, police said.
