Chairman of Parl Stand Comm on Home discusses issues with

The chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs Pradip Bhattacharya today met Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and discussed key issues.

According to an official release, Gogoi asked Bhattacharya for necessary recommendations for police modernisation in the state.

"The chairman also said he would make necessary recommendations for a security hub in Guwahati considering the city being the nerve centre of the entire North East," the statement said.

Several other important issues like subsidy for industrial set ups in Assam and other related issues came up during the meeting, the statement added.
