Cashing in on the growing e-commerce business, stock-broking firm Chona Group today forayed into the online retail space with the launch of buildmantra.Com for marketing construction and interiors products.
Chona Group Chairman and Managing Director and BuildMantra.Com Founder CEO, EMC Palaniappan said the portal would offer construction materials and other products required in the interiors business at the click of button.
"We have invested Rs 5 crore in the project and roped in 350 vendors initially. The products will be available online and customers can get it delivered on their respective place," he told reporters.
Giving statistics on the foray into the online marketing space, he said the online retail currently valued at USD 3.1 billion was expected to grow to USD 22 billion in next five years.
