CM offers condolences to slain CPI(M) leader's family

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tonight visited the residence of a local CPI(M) leader at Palloor in Mahe, who was hacked to death on May 7 and offered his condolences to the family.

Vijayan spent about 15 minutes with the family and later left for Kozhikode, they said.

Babu Kannipoyil (42), a former municipal councillor of Mahe, was waylaid and fatally attacked by a four member gang, allegedly RSS-BJP workers, near his house at Palloor on May 7.
