Copra edible, black pepper slips on reduced demand

Copra edible prices slipped at the spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, black pepper also eased on subdued demand from exporters.

While, ginger bleached gained further on the back of robust offtake from exporters and upcountry buyers.

Ginger unbleached, copra office Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode and copra Rajapur prices ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying.

Copra edible dipped by Rs 700 per quintal to Rs 11,500 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 12,200.

Black pepper moved down by Rs 10/10 per kg to Rs 770/830 as compared to Rs 780/840 previously.
 

However, ginger bleached moved up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 350 from Rs 340.

Black pepper (per kg) 770/830 (780/840), ginger bleached (per kg) 350 (340), ginger unbleached (per kg) 370 (370), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 11,200 (11,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 11,100 (11,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 15,000 (15,000), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,500 (12,200).
