Couple killed after truck overturns on their motorcycle

A couple was killed after a loaded truck overturned on their motorcycle on the Betul-Nagpur National Highway (NH-47) today, a police official said.

The victims were on their way to attend a marriage in Dauua village in the district when the mishap took place, Multai police station in-charge S K Singh said.

The truck loaded with soyabean lost control near Khambara toll plaza and overturned on the victims' bike killing them on the spot, he said.

The victims were identified as Madhu Gadre (55) and his wife Munnibai, he said.

A case has been registered, the police official said.
