Court orders CBI probe into murder of lawyer's wife

A division bench of Chief Justice Barin Ghosh and Justice U C Dhyani observed that since the police was not investigating the case thoroughly, it should be handed over to the CBI.

65-year-old Pushpa was found lying in a pool of blood in her home here in October last year with her throat slit while her husband was away.

The incident had triggered outrage in the city with the legal fraternity observing a bandh here demanding arrest of the culprits.
