CPCB team in Rajahmundry to check pollution in Godavari

A Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) team today visited the city to check the level of pollution in Godavari river, an official release said.
"The team, headed by S Jeyapaul, scientist CPCB zonal office in Bangalore, arrived in Rajahmundry to inspect level of pollution in Godavari river, and met Municipal Commissioner and Mayor over the issue," the release said.
The inspection was carried out on the instructions of Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, it added.
