Crude palm oil gains by 0.2% on rising demand

Speculators enlarged positions on the back of rising demand in the spot market

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Extending gains for the third day, crude palm oil prices advanced 0.21% to Rs 429.80 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions on the back of rising demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January next year added another 90 paise, or 0.21% to Rs 429.80 per 10 kg in business turnover of 85 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December contract edged up by 40 paise, or 0.09% to Rs 424.40 per 10 kg in 70 lots.

Market analysts attributed gains in crude palm oil futures to fresh positions built-up by speculators, driven by rising demand in the spot market.
