Delhi govt orders action against DANIC officer, 2 employees

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has ordered action against a DANICS officer and two other government employees on the charges of corruption in making alleged fake voting cards.

According to a senior government officer, around 1250 voter cards were found lying near a hotel in sector 13 of Dwarka. These voter cards belonged to Janakpuri and Vikaspuri assembly constituency.

After preliminary investigation, Delhi election commission found that stamps and signature of officers were misused for issuing these voter cards.

Thereafter an FIR was registered against LDC Satpal at a police station, government said in a statement.

Election commission in its investigation also found lapse on behalf of IRO Ajay Rawal (DANICS) who is posted at Vikaspuri.
