In the wake of demonetisation, former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot today said that denying people their right to get old currency exchanged at Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is "absolutely inappropriate".
"It is their hard earned money and they must be allowed to exchange it with new notes. To deny them this right is absolutely inappropriate," Gehlot tweeted.
"Why should these people suffer because of dictatorial attitude of the government," the former CM questioned in a series of tweets.

Gehlot tweeted after people complained that NRIs and locals are facing lots of problems as RBI has been turning them away without any proper response.
