East Godavari police arrests 13 Maoists; unearth arms dump

East Godavari police arrested 13 Maoist militia sympathisers and unearthed a Maoist arms dump consisting of bombs, guns, detonators and landmines in the district, a senior police officer said here today.

East Godavari district Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash said that Donkarai police arrested eight Maoist militia sympathisers namely M Chittibabu, K Rambabu, G Srinu, G Ghasi Ram, P Chinna Reddy, M Rajesh, K Urdho and H Dali Babu, who are all from Pathakota village of the district.

Ramavaram police also arrested five people namely S Raja Rao, D Raja Rao, D Appa Rao, K Babu Rao and K Jagatrai in this connection, he said.
 

Last week, about 47 Maoists sympathisers had surrendered before the Ramapachodavaram police.
