Groundnutoil surged at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to consistent demand from stockists and retailers amid lower arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also advanced on rising retail demand.
While, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial and linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any largescale buying activity.
In edible section, groundnutoil climbed by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,090 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,080 and refined palmolein rose by Rs 8 per 10kg to Rs 593 as compared with Rs 585 earlier.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 3,110 per 100kg, Rs 652 per 10kg and Rs 875 per 10kg.
