Continuing its demolition drive on second day, the EDMC today removed encroachment at Wazirabad Road from Bhajanpura red light to Loni roundabout to ease the traffic movement in the area to ease the traffic movement in the area.
During the drive, five cars, three three-wheelers, 14 bundles of steel rods were seized and building material stacked on the road was removed from the service road of the stretch, EDMC said, adding 45 pucca thadas were also dismantled in a 2.5 km stretch of the service road.
The action was taken under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Shahdara (North) Zone.
The three-day anti-encroachment drive will take place tomorrow from Loni Golchakkar to Bhopura on the road, it said.
