Gas agency cashier robbed of Rs 4.5 lakh

Three assailants on a motorcycle robbed a cooking gas agency cashier of Rs 4.5 lakh in Banswara district of Rajasthan, police said today.

The loot occurred in Housing Board area last night when Arvind Jain was returning home with a bag containing the cash, they said.

Passers-by tried to nab the miscreants but the three managed to escape, police said, adding efforts are on to identify and apprehend them.
