Banned gutkha worth Rs 4.37 lakhs was seized here by FDA officials here.
The contraband, filled in bags was impounded yesterday by district unit of the FDAA from one Ajim Navaj Ahmed Shaikh of Novelty supri and general store in Mira Road, its Joint Commissioner P M Raut said.
The seizure included Rajashree panmasala -17 packets; Vimal panmasala -190 packets; V-T scented tobacco-203 packets; Rajashree Gutkha-60 packets; Vimal Gutkha 61 packets, Pan vilash- 68 packets; Rocket Gutkha-57 bags and Goa 1000 Gutkha-17 bags, the official added.
