HC notice to state,Indore corporation over inclusn of villages

Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore bench today issued notices to the state government and others on a PIL challenging inclusion of 23 village panchayats and 29 villages in the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) limits.

The division bench of Justices P K Jaiswal and Subdha Waghmare sought replies from state chief secretary, Indore municipal commissioner and other respondents in four weeks on the issue.

Petitioner Anil Trivedi said he has contended that the notification of inclusion the said villages and village panchayat in IMC violates MP Municipal Corporation Act of 1956.
