HC notice to Thanjavur city Corpn on cleaning Grand Anaicut

The Madras High Court today suo motu initiated PIL proceedings for cleaning the Grand Anaicat canal passing through Thanjavur.

Justice J Nisha Banu, who initiated the proceedings, ordered notice to the Thanjavur city corporation through the Additional Government Pleader T S Mohamed Mohideen.

The judge also impleaded state as a party and ordered to serve the state government notice through the government pleader.
