Hot, humid Sunday for Delhiites, rains likely in 24 hours

Hot and humid conditions prevailed in the national capital today as the maximum temperature settled three degrees above normal with only traces of rains in different areas of Delhi.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius, which was three points above normal.

The minimum temperature was also one notch above normal at 28.2 degrees Celsius.

Even as the humidity level touched 87 per cent, only traces of rains was reported in the capital in the last 24 hours.

However, the weather is expected to give some respite during the next 24 hours with the India Meteorological Department predicting a generally cloudy sky accompanied by rainfall and thundershowers.
 

The maximum and minimum temperatures are also expected to register a fall and settle at around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
