Intermittent rains keeps mercury low in Bihar

Intermittent rain showers pulled the mercury down in Patna and other parts of Bihar today to make for a comfortable weather.

Patna witnessed 2.6 mm rains in the last 24 hours, an Met office bulletin said.

Gaya registered 1.8 mm of rainfall while it was 9.8 mm in Bhagalpur and 11.6 mm in Purnea, it said.

The maximum temperature in Patna was 31.4 degrees Celsius.

It was 31.8 degrees Celsius in Gaya, 33 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur and 33.9 deg Celsius in Purnea, the bulletin said.

The humidity in the region stayed high. Patna registered 92 per cent humidity whereas it was 85 per cent in Gaya, 84 per cent in Bhagalpur and 87 per cent in Purnea.
 

The state weather office forecast generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rains or thundershower.
