In a restricted activity, maize prices today edged up by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market due to pick-up in demand from retailers amid tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other grains, including wheat and rice basmati, moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides pick-up in demand from retailers, restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in maize prices.
