Mamata congratulates PV Sindhu for her performance
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today congratulated P V Sindhu for her performance at the Rio Olympics and said her performance will inspire the youth of India.
"Proud of India's silver girl #Rio2016 @Pvsindhu1. Your great performance will inspire the youth of India to follow their dreams. Jai Hind," Banerjee said in a tweet.
P V Sindhu's gallant attempt to win a coveted gold medal for India ended in heart-break when she went down fighting against Spain's Carolina Marin and settled for a silver in the women's singles badminton competition at the Rio Olympics today.
