Mamata welcomes cine lovers to Kolkata for 8-day film fest

Hours before the inauguration of on Saturday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in a tweet, welcomed cinema lovers to the eight-day extravaganza - the theme country for which has been selected as this year.

More than 300 films, including shorts and documentaries, will be screened in 16 theatres across the city and Howrah over the next week.

Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Jaya Bachchan, and will form part of the brigade that is set to grace the inaugural programme here.
