Upset over his second wife's attitude towards his deceased wife's daughters, a man allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison after administering it to his two daughters at Kumarapuram in this district, police today said.
Police said Sivakumar (36), married another woman after his wife died six months ago.
They quarrelled frequently over taking care of his daughters, aged nine and six years and the woman left for her father's house yesterday following an altercation,police said.
Following this Sivakumar allegedly consumed poison after administering it to his daughters late last night.
While one girl died en route to the hospital, Sivakumar and another daughter died at the hospital today,police said.
