Man held for stoning farmer to death for not giving cigarette

A man, who stoned a farmer to death for not giving him a cigarette, was arrested from from Bhojpur area here today.

Mukesh Tyagi has been arrested and sent to jail for stoning Kanti Prasad, of Tahleta village in Modinagar area, to death, a senior police officer said.

On December 2, Mukesh, a drug addict, had asked Kanti a cigarette, but Kanti didn't give it which angered Mukesh who, then stoned him to death, the officer said.
